Keeping it Simple

“The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.” ~ Hans Hoffman

The mind and its habits dampen our potential. If there was a simple way to focus your natural intelligence - would you try it? Meditation is the key that unlocks the door to the world within. A world where truth blossoms, creativity unfolds and our lives are forever transformed. The art of Meditation is an ancient one dating back to pre-historic times. It is found in all Spiritual traditions and can be easily understood as inner contemplation.

Though the benefits are innumerable, I will list only a handful:

* Enhanced Mood
* Stress Reduction
* Lower Blood Pressure
* Ability to be non-reactive
* Better Awareness
* Focus
* Mental Clarity
* Feelings of Oneness

Suggestions for a regular practice:

* Clarify your intent before beginning, be free of expectations
* Practice at the same time, same place each session
* 3 x's per week for 10 minutes is the suggested minimal time a week
* Find a safe place to practice – free from interruptions and distractions.
* Use a timer
* Wear loose comfortable clothing
* Sit comfortably
* Close your eyes and open your mind
* Relax your mind, relax your body
* Do a centering breath

As thoughts and memories arise, just watch them go by – observe but do not follow. After you've completed your session – remember to slowly open your eyes and to stretch your arms and legs before standing.
