Bringing about inner peace

To meditate does not mean to fight with a problem.
To meditate means to observe.
Your smile proves it.
It proves that you are being gentle with yourself,
that the sun of awareness is shining in you,
that you have control of your situation.
You are yourself,
and you have acquired some peace. ~ the Buddha

Today in meditation - I did acquire a moment of peace. There have been many days lately where peace has not been a part of my vocabulary nor a part of my psyche. My intention today was to find a connection to my higher power! In searching for that connection I found a moment of peace.

In my moment of peace what came to me was that when we disconnect from the God of our understanding or our Higher Power it is because our ego has its own agenda. Some people for reasons I do not understand can live their entire lives on self will run riot. There of others who for reasons unknown to me are unable to function, they become self destructive, when they disconnect from their higher power. The ego can be deflated when those individuals surrender to the "God of their understanding."

When my agenda is "I" that signifies my ego is in control but when there is a "we" in my agenda I have entered the realm of spirit. Just for today I choose to live in peace and harmony in the realm of the spirit.

Blessings.
