Man's mind, once stretched by a new idea, never regains its original dimensions. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
You ever wonder why those "wise" old sayings linger on in our culture. We are now in the age of technology - information processing at lightning speeds. But when I meditate notions of futuristic sci-fi events do not pop into my minds eye. What resonates loudly in my soul are those things...wisdom things they tried to teach me in Kindergarten. Most of which I've spent my entire life trying to learn...or not!
Do unto others...okay...that's sort of like karma - I get it!
If you don't have anything good to say ... then don't say anything! - alright!
Stop and smell the roses ... love it!
This list could go on forever! What's bothering me today ... as I meditated, is what am I missing? Where's the insanity in my life? That place where one keeps repeating the same "lessons" over and over again because they just aren't learning them.
These are the sorts of things that sometimes get stuck in my head after I've meditated and feel like I've bridged new gaps. In hopes of inspiring others to see where they've come from and where they can go...I sometimes post random notions on this blogsight. Meditation isn't about what you know - for me today it's about learning the lessons I haven't learned!
Blessings!
