One pointed mind...and struggles

"Christians emphasize prayer of the heart, and Buddhists speak about one-pointed mind." Thich Nhat Hanh

Have you ever had one of those moments of clarity where you knew that you were on the path you were intended for? Many of us have had those moments. Most of us do not pay attention to them. We are too busy being caught up in the hustle of bustle of life. Some of us are even in the middle of the storm ...clinging desperately ~ grasping violently for the next hand out! That particular struggle hits too close to home. That person reaching for a hand out - just happens to be me!

You see through my struggles I forget that to struggle is human. I chase meditation and serenity ...I crave a one pointed mind. And then I spiral violently out of control and beg for a hand out. What I realized today is that if I would practice diligence, temperance , willingness and humility as the actions that they are...I just might not struggle so violently today. For this day, for my friends, my family and my life...I can honestly say that although I'd love to have a one pointed mind and the focus that comes with it...I don't - instead, I am grateful for the struggles!

Peace....
