Reset!

"The practice of meditation has been essential to expanding my awareness: I know more clearly who I am, what I really want, and how I really feel. This all leads to making more nourishing choices and living a life full of meaning and purpose."

- Sarah McLean

It only took forty six years for me to find my reset button but I've found it! Meditation has proven time and time again to be a reset button for my body and mind.

As I sit quietly in my various poses most often early in the morning I become aware of my thoughts beginning to slow down, my breathing gets deeper and I find peace within myself. If I meditate after beginning a hectic day - I sit until the stress is no longer pulling on my shoulders, my breath no longer short spurts of grasping...I feel relaxed, my breathing synchronizes in perfect rhythm with my thoughts and I find bliss.

To find words to articulate these experiences has been a journey in itself. For in the words something seems to get lost. The essence of meditation seems to exude around me like the sounds waves pooling out from the strike of a gong!

You know, I'm one of those instant gratification kind of people. I spent about 1/3 of my life wanting what I wanted when I wanted it...and if I didn't get what I wanted, I'd make others miserable. Today, I know that I was miserable, I had no discipline, but meditation has given me moments. To be still long enough for my mind and head to reset it absolutely priceless!

It doesn't take hours. It only requires several minutes of your time. I challenge you to try meditating for 3 minutes and tell me what you think! RESET
