A blank slate - Tabula Rasa! That is what my mind feels like today. So yes, I am switching - with your permission- for just one blog...to the topic of mind and not my notions on the soul! Althought the two are so intertwined as to not be able to distinguish where one starts and where the other stops!
I wanted to blog about my meditative journey today, but it was brief and there was no memorable imagery! I wanted to blog about philosophical notions...but I'm too sleepy to form an idea and put it forth.
So I will say that I do not inherently believe in the notion of Tabula Rasa. It is my opinion that something is going on in our minds when we are born. It does not require nurturing for our minds to begin to be filled with experiences and perceptions. We are born with the residue of past lifes somewhere in our beings. Things happen in our current lives that ping and resonate on a level that left us know...we've been here before.
Okay, so one philospical notion that I disagree with is Tabula Rasa....but it doesn't stop my mind from feeling like one right now!
