Awareness

Every human has four endowments- self awareness, conscience, independent will and creative imagination. These give us the ultimate human freedom... The power to choose, to respond, to change.”Stephen Covey

Meditation is about developing a non-judgemental attitude to thoughts and feelings. During meditation you let your thoughts run their course and do not follow them. You are an observer of your thoughts, your breath and the world around you. Thoughts and feelings arise during the meditative process and you uncover your natural ability to be non-reactive. This awareness is called self remembering and allows us to recognize limiting patterns of thoughts and actions.

Self remembering refers to a psychological state where we look both inward and outward. They are the moments were you are not only aware of what you are doing but of yourself doing them. It is in these moments that we feel most alive, here now in the present moment!
