Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. - Matthew 7:7
To have a passive voice in life did not serve me well. Much of my life was spent taking on the role of observer...letting others call the shots, lead the way. On this beautiful Thanksgiving morning, I meditated as usual. My mind wandered as always flipping through the channels...now this, then that, ooh there, over here. The settling began and my thoughts searched for a more intuitive channel of the senses; clear hearing, clear seeing and clear feeling. I was searching for guidance from my center - God within. It has taken many years to realize that God resides within each of us. In my daily meditation this is what I am truly seeking, a conscious contact with the God of my understanding. My day begins with action, I am no longer an observe in life...I am a participant.
The key for me has been many moments of quiet contemplation. Breathing in and out, relaxing, observing and listening. Asking questions, searching diligently and instead of force - simple a knock. Doors have opened to places I only dreamed of. And for that, I am truly grateful on this beautiful Thanksgiving morning.
Peace and grace!
