All the Buddhas of all the ages have been telling you a very simple fact: Be - don't try to become. Within these two words, be and becoming, your whole life is contained. Being is enlightenment, becoming is ignorance. ---author unknown
Being verses becoming? To define being I would say that it is a state of existence. Becoming is to undergo change.
Personally I have spent most of my life becoming or wanting to become something other than who or what I am. Being is about acceptance of the moment as it exist. Being is about freedom and inner peace. Becoming is a constant struggle.
Being is the essence of meditation. To sit still and watch your thoughts flow gently past your mind's eye, breathing in and out, not wanting is truly enlightening.
Just be...be free...be happy...being you in this moment!
blessings!!
