We are One

"Two hands clap and there is a sound; what is the sound of one hand?" Zen

To speak of this mornings meditation would require my having remembered it. Much to my dismay what I remember it that I awoke in a fog, stumbled into my meditation room, prayed, did a Kriya and meditated for only 17 minutes. My day was hectic and I sat down to blog late at night. I don't remember anything specific about my meditation.

I did attend a religious institution today and spent an enormous amount of time with my family. Both of which got me to thinking about what I believe. It is much to late to go into depth about the nature of reality for me, but I will speak to it briefly.

For many years, I have had experiences that do not "jive" with the reality of those around me. I see things from a different perspective. Namely I see all of life as being connected. Carl Jung referred to this as the collective unconscious. For me it goes one step further in the realm of total collective consciousness.

Cosmic consciousness is the concept that the universe exists as an interconnected network of consciousness, with each conscious being linked to every other. Sometimes this is conceived as forming a collective consciousness which spans the cosmos, other times it is conceived of as an Absolute or Godhead from which all conscious beings emanate. I liken this concept to a web, a play on the Internet, but more in line with a spider web. We are all on the web, and we sense others who are on the same energy frequency as us. There have been many theories throughout history that have tried to explain this. From astronomy, numerology, parapsychology, psychology, astrophysics, quantum physics to religion. For me today, there is a element of truth in all of these theories.

But I am only speaking from personal experiences. Isn't that the perspective we all speak from?
